The Backup Manager is a window that displays a list of backup files that have been created from the application's database. You can remove old backups, create a new backup or restore the database to an earlier state from the Backup Manager.
Keyboard Shortcut - Ctrl+Shift+E
The Name column displays the names given to backup files when they are created. All backup files are named automatically by the application using the current time stamp and the type of backup created. Automatic backups will begin with "auto", manual backups will begin with "manual", and backups created during a restore operation will begin with "pre-restore".
The Restore button is enabled anytime a backup from the list is selected. To restore the application database to an earlier state, select the a backup from the list that you would like to restore to and press the Restore button. The current database state will be saved to backup prior to the restore operation incase you wish to revert back later.
The Remove button is enabled anytime a backup from the list is selected. To remove a backup from the list, first select it and then press the Remove button. When a backup is removed from the list it is placed in the Windows Recycle Bin so that it can be retrieved later if necessary.
