Choosing Help → Check For Updates... from the Main Menu will launch the Check For Updates Window. Once this window is open the application will check online for a newer version of the software. If a newer version is not found you will be notified that you currently have the most recent version installed (figure 1).

If a newer version is available you will be prompted to download and install the newer version (figure 2). If you would like to update later, simply press the Later button or the Esc key on your keyboard. To download and install the update now, you can choose to let the application handle the download and installation by pressing the Automatic button or download and install the update yourself by pressing the Download button.

Automatic
When pressing the Automatic button, the download will begin automatically and its progress will be displayed in the current window (figure 3). Press the Cancel button to cancel the download and close the Check For Updates Window.

Once the download is complete, you'll be given the option to install the update either now or later (figure 4). Press the Later button to close the Check for Updates Window and update the application at another time. To install the application now, press the Install Now button. Your settings and data from the previous version will remain intact.

Manual Download
When pressing the
Download button, the you'll be prompted by a
Save As Window for a location on your computer to save the installer file (figure 5). Choose any location you prefer and press the
Save button. When the download is complete, first close the SOFTBOX (HDRI) Media Browser and then double-click the installer file to start the installation process. The
application installer will appear during the installation to guide you through the process. Once the installation is complete you can restart the application. Your settings and data from the previous version will remain intact.
