Range: 0 ~ Infinity

 

This setting controls the brightness or perceived exposure of the High Dynamic-Range Images in your scene. You'll see the effects of the Intensity setting in the reflective surfaces of your scene and where the background is visible. Adjustments to this setting won't affect the lighting levels in your scene. Light intensity is handled by the assigned Luminance.

 

The four images below demonstrate the Intensity setting at .6, 1.2, 2.4, and 4.8. Notice how only the intensity of the umbrella reflected in the top of the pot changes while the overall lighting does not. The overall lighting is consistent in each of the examples.

 

The example images were rendered from the Isometric_SW view using the "Stark" Cubical Map and "Quality" Luminance presets.
